What personal information we collect
CheckIron.com collects the following information: your raw DNA data and your optionally entered "age at symptoms" data concerning age at symptoms. We are using this information to teach the system so that later visitors get a better estimate of their "age at symptoms". We collect no other information which could identify you and this is why there is no registration or login function.
How We Use Personal Information That We Collect Online
Internal Uses
We will use your raw DNA data within CheckIron.com to provide you your results of our Hemochromatosis Types analysis and other Inflammatory diseases. If you provide us with the "age at symptoms" answer we will use your result to teach the software to recognise the connections between mutations and "age at symptoms". There will be other external factors such as what you eat involved but we hope that given enough data we will be able to give ranges of ages where symptoms occur for different mutation combinations.
Right to be Forgotten
You have the option to erase all your personal information at any time. For info on how to do this see the FAQ on the checkiron.com main page. We delete your results, your original raw data and any age at symptoms data you have given us. In fact the erasure is such that we do not know your data was uploaded at all.
